Our Petroleum Products
North Pacific Energy’s Petroleum Products group is based in United States, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Singapore, specializing in various refined products such as propane, gasoline, jet fuel, and fuel oil. The trading volume of petroleum products exceeds that of crude oil, with low stock levels and refining capacity constraints often making these products the primary contracts in the oil market. Our strong presence in the physical products market gives us unique insights into the factors influencing the swaps market. As the connection between crude oil and refined products becomes more pronounced through trading arbitrage and refinery margins, we adapt our services accordingly. Ultimately, North Pacific Energy offers a comprehensive international broking service for both crude and petroleum products, catering to the industry’s evolving needs.
Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD)
Ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) is a cleaner-burning diesel fuel with significantly reduced sulfur content, typically containing no more than 15 parts per million (ppm) of sulfur. This reduction in sulfur helps to lower harmful emissions and improve air quality, making it more environmentally friendly compared to traditional diesel fuels. ULSD is essential for modern diesel engines, which require cleaner fuels to operate efficiently and meet stringent emissions regulations.
Jet Fuel (Jet A1)
Jet fuel is a specialized type of aviation fuel designed to power aircraft engines, primarily composed of kerosene. It is formulated to provide optimal performance at high altitudes, ensuring efficiency and safety in various flying conditions. Commonly used types include Jet A and Jet A-1, which are crucial for commercial and military aviation operations worldwide.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a flammable hydrocarbon gas mixture primarily composed of propane and butane. It is commonly used as a fuel source for heating, cooking, and in vehicles, due to its efficient combustion and portability. LPG is stored and transported in liquid form under pressure, making it easy to handle and distribute for various applications.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been cooled to a liquid state at approximately -162 degrees Celsius (-260 degrees Fahrenheit), which reduces its volume significantly, making it easier to store and transport. LNG is primarily composed of methane and is considered a cleaner fossil fuel alternative, producing fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to coal and oil when burned. The global LNG market has grown rapidly, driven by increasing energy demand, the need for energy diversification, and advancements in liquefaction and regasification technologies.
Crude Oil & Fuel Oil
Crude oil is a naturally occurring unrefined petroleum product composed of hydrocarbon deposits and other organic materials, serving as a primary raw material for a variety of fuels and chemicals. Fuel oil, derived from the distillation of crude oil, is a heavier petroleum product used for heating, electricity generation, and as a fuel source in marine and industrial applications. Both crude oil and fuel oil play crucial roles in the global energy landscape, significantly impacting economies and environmental policies.
